This Day In History!

Today we welcome a new president. Our 44th President of the United States. Jacob has amazed me yet again today. Getting in the car after picking him up from preschool he said to me "Mommy we need to go home and watch Barack Obama." What amazed me was how perfectly he said Barack Obama otherwise known as "Daddy's Guy." I can only hope for the best in what our new president brings. We cannot wait for change. Only time will tell.

Okay one more funny thing. Jacob is chanting "We want Barack Obama," this is because someone other than Barack is on the television right now. He cracks me up. Wait til Daddy here's all about this. Little things I will be able to remember about this day in history.

Change is Good!

So, I did it. I got my hair cut not a trim but cut. I haven't had this much cut since probably 2001. I know such a long time. As you all know I am very attached to my hair. Very particular about how my hair is cut, who cuts it, you get the point. I had only been thinking about cutting it for a short time. I knew the longer I thought about it I wouldn't do it, and it needed to be done. Thursday I made my appointment to have it done on Friday, no time to cancel. Many people, friends and co workers included did not think I would go through with it. Everyone thought I was going to return with just another trim. Hopefully you all do notice the difference. It's at least 5 inches. I cannot say an exact number because my guy refused to talk numbers with me. I just know there was a lot of my hair on the floor. My guy told me just to tell him how short I wanted it. I did not want it shorter than my shoulders as I have never had it that short. I knew though that I had to get a decent amount cut as my ends were rather dry. My hair usually does most of it's growing or it seems like it does, during the Fall and Winter, so we will see how much grows back. I will say thus far I am very happy with my cut. It's also probably because I went back to my guy and not somewhere new. Hope everyone had a great weekend, I will post pics from the weekend tomorrow.

A New Look.

Joe made us a new banner, at my request. I have not got that whole making a banner thing down. Along with the new banner I decided that we just needed to change everything. To be honest I was getting a little tired of our white background. Not that I didn't love it , but I was just ready for a change. I have been wanting to change the background color for sometime but just wasn't sure about what color to go with. Having a new banner made it just a little easier for me. In changing the background color I also then had to change all the links and so on. So what does everyone think a good change? I like it, it sure makes it (and me) feel more like it's Summer. And well it's not technically Summer yet, it sure is very close... just right around the corner really.

Hope every one's having a great weekend. The weather's been a little wacky here today but the sun is out now, I think for a little bit. Off to the grocery store to get stuff for dinner.
