Change is Good!

So, I did it. I got my hair cut not a trim but cut. I haven't had this much cut since probably 2001. I know such a long time. As you all know I am very attached to my hair. Very particular about how my hair is cut, who cuts it, you get the point. I had only been thinking about cutting it for a short time. I knew the longer I thought about it I wouldn't do it, and it needed to be done. Thursday I made my appointment to have it done on Friday, no time to cancel. Many people, friends and co workers included did not think I would go through with it. Everyone thought I was going to return with just another trim. Hopefully you all do notice the difference. It's at least 5 inches. I cannot say an exact number because my guy refused to talk numbers with me. I just know there was a lot of my hair on the floor. My guy told me just to tell him how short I wanted it. I did not want it shorter than my shoulders as I have never had it that short. I knew though that I had to get a decent amount cut as my ends were rather dry. My hair usually does most of it's growing or it seems like it does, during the Fall and Winter, so we will see how much grows back. I will say thus far I am very happy with my cut. It's also probably because I went back to my guy and not somewhere new. Hope everyone had a great weekend, I will post pics from the weekend tomorrow.
What do you think of our new layout for Fall? Colors okay? I'm not sure just yet.

Just Relax.....

Today I went to Mane Attraction Salon and Spa to use my gift certificate from my birthday. It was even better than I imagined it would be. My day started at 11:00 AM. When I got there, I had to fill out a little questionnaire about my body and skin needs. This was for my massage and facial. My first treatment was my full body massage, it was wonderful. I have only ever had one other massage and it was a stone massage. I had this on our cruise we went on for our 5 year anniversary. Three years was way too long to wait to have another massage. I told Joe this evening when I got home, anytime he feels like he wants to treat me again I am all up for it. This truly was such a wonderful gift. Back to today, after my massage I had my facial. I have never had a facial before....... (I know.) I will definitely be going back for more of these, it was so relaxing. After my facial it was off to get my hands and toes done. First my manicure and then they did my pedicure. I always enjoy pedicures, but who doesn't enjoy someone else doing their toes for them? Lastly I was to have a shampoo and style done. I decided it was probably time for a trim, so I also had my hair trimmed at this time. I left there at about 5:00PM. It was a long day. It was well worth the wait, and the length of the day. All of the people there were really nice to me. It was also really nice inside the salon/spa, I had never been in there before. I think that I will probably go back the next time I need a trim and give someone else a try. I liked the woman I saw, I just didn't get that click there if ya know what I mean. Like I've said before, I am very particular about my hair and I just didn't feel like she understood what I was saying about my hair and how important it is to me. I know it probably sounds a little weird but everyone has something they're particular about and for me it's my hair. One bad cut job and I am done for a good bit of time. Once I went 2 years without one single trip to a salon, really bad experience that time. I am also thinking I'd like to try there again because it's so close to the house, and the prices are pretty reasonable, AND I'd love to not have to drive to Sterling for a hair trim. So, we will see hopefully the next time I need a trim I will like the next person more. Any of you out there that are in this area definitely need to have your husbands talk to mine so you too can have a day for you, like I did. Happy Friday! Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful weather we're supposed to have this weekend.

Tired and at a loss for words

There's really not to much going on over, I mean nothing too exciting anyway. I am kind of having a little bit of blogger's block, I think. I guess it could also have something to do with the fact that I am feeling a little tired and weak again, on and off. I had a Dr.'s appointment last week and my BP is still pretty low. I have been checking it on and off while at work and it has been pretty consistently low. On Thursday morning I am going for this test called a Tilt Table Test. It only takes about an hour that is if I last that long without fainting. Hopefully that will not happen and the test will just show, what I already know and that is that my blood pressure drops dramatically when I go from a lying to standing position. What does this mean? It means that apparently I have low blood pressure. In order to not feel light headed and dizzy, I will have to go meds for a while and hopefully it will get me regulated. I am hoping that this is not a permanent thing. I am really getting a little sick of this whole not feeling like myself thing. I HATE being dizzy, I HATE feeling light headed but it's not just my head it's my whole body that feels funny. I am really hoping that this is all better sooner rather than later, cause I really don't want to feel like this on vacation. How horrible would that be? So enough about me and my griping.
Other than me feeling like crap, we had a pretty good weekend. On Friday we had a play date, the kids really enjoyed their time with their friends. As I also enjoy my time visiting with my friends. It's nice to have that time even if it is just once every two weeks. I have no pictures from our play date or anything else we did this weekend. Daddy kind of left the diaper bag in his car and when it finally did end up in the house on Friday night I kind of left with out it on Saturday.
Friday night I had a little get together at our house. I had a Tastefully Simple Party with my neighbor/friend who is a consultant. This was my first experience with TS and I loved it. The food was great and the company of my friends was also great.
Saturday Nana and I and the kids decided to head out for a while. We went to the Dulles Town Center for a little bit, we had lunch and I had a few things to return. After finishing up at the DTC we headed back towards home and stopped at the Leesburg Outlets as I had a few more returns to do there. I also bought the kids a few thing for spring. The Gap was having a great sale lots of stuff was 40% off. The outlets were packed it was like it was Christmas or something. Lines everywhere. The funniest of them all was the Coach store. They are getting ready to move into a bigger store, they open in the new location on May 1st, I believe. From what my MIL and I heard they are trying to get rid of most of their inventory so they don't have to move it ( a whole 10 stores down). There was a line outside of the store, an employee was only letting so many people in at once. One woman my MIL talked to said she waited outside the store for an hour, and then she waited in line inside for another hour and a half. They had all of the merchandise marked down any where from 30%-50% off the lowest marked down price. It sounds pretty good but not worth 3 hours of my time after you factor in time to shop. The weather was great on Saturday, a good day to be out in the nice fresh air.
And of course Sunday brought the ugly rain just about the whole day. It seems as though it has been raining non stop. I had to work of course on Sunday, too. I guess this post tittle isn't really true. I have really rambled on for too long now. Sorry there's no pics of the kids or anything else for that matter. Hopefully this little block won't last for too long and I'll be back on track soon. Hope every one else had a great weekend.
