Jenna is always saying funny things that crack us up. I just have to share this with you all cause not only is it funny but it was also really just too cute. I was standing in the little hallway between our kitchen and our dining room with the light on above me cause it was a little dark. Jenna walked up next to me and stood next to the wall and she saw her shadow. As soon as she saw her shadow she stuck out her finger and pointed at it and said "You get back in me Jenna right now!" It was it her most serious voice. I could hardly stop laughing enough to tell Joe about it.
Now today on the other hand she's just been a handful. I have only been home from work for like three hours and man o' man. Joe said she's been a pistol all day. Just getting into to trouble and not listening at all. What happened in a day? I guess it's toddler hood and these terrible two's. She's keeping us on our toes.

The things kids say......
Jacob and Jenna are always making us laugh with the quirky little things they say. On Friday when we were all out in the front yard drawing on the driveway, Joe said something to Jacob about something. That part I don't really remember. But Jacob responded with " Don't freak out Dad!" We have no idea where in the world he heard that from. But it was so hilarious, it was so hard for the both of us to stay serious. Kids really do say the darnedest things. Just thought I'd share a funny story after my rantings yesterday. Hope every one's enjoying this cooler weather.

It's Official.....
I am on VACATION! I clocked out tonight at 10:33 p.m and I do not have to work again for 11 days, yeah! You know what one of the best parts about the week that I'm on vacation is? I am totally missing inventory...We inventory on either the 13th or the 14th, I really don't know cause I won't be there. Really just luck but good luck. This year our inventory's going to be really bad, probably the worst that store has ever done. But oh well I won't have to be there. I don't have to wear blue and khaki for 10 days. Silly I know, but really it does get a little irritating after a while of wearing the same colors day after day after day. Oh and also no crappy customers,no complaints, this week was a pretty crappy week for crappy customers. I had one man call me an a**hole, the best part....it was because he was the idiot. He was the one who came into the store with a lawn mower full of gas, and then proceeded to argue with me on whether or not it was against fire codes. But I was the a**hole, go figure. I know off on a tangent, sorry. So needless to say I am soooo glad that this work week is finally over.
Am I packed you ask? Well sort of, I have all my clothes together. Not in my suitcase yet, because my suitcase is still in the basement. I kind of have some of my bathroom stuff together but not really to organized there. I really hope to get all my stuff together and in my suitcase sometime tomorrow. I don't want to do like I normally do and be putting stuff together at the last minute on Saturday night. Our flight leaves at like 7 something Sunday morning, and we have to drive to Baltimore, yuck! Going out of Baltimore saved us some serious dough on our plane tickets and we all know every penny counts.
So plans have changed a little for tomorrow I still have some running around to do but I will not be getting my hair cut. I know I am really kinda bummed about it but the guy who was to cut my hair had some sort of hand injury. He's not working the rest of the week, and I am not really ready to let another new person cut my hair. Especially right before our vacation, who knows what could happen. Sorry Kelly there will probably be no curls in my near future. Still not sure if I am ready for that either. Especially with rain in the forecast. It's looking like there's a good chance of rain many of the days we are there. I am hoping that the forecast is just wrong. It looks like it's going to be pretty rainy here while we're gone. Hopefully it won't be too rainy either place.
Cute Jenna story.......
On Wednesday we were just about ready to leave to take Jacob to therapy. I had just told the kids to go sit on the stairs so we could put their shoes on and leave. Now please keep in mind Jenna always runs when I tell her I have to fix her hair. She usually says "no mama." Today was very different. When I told them to go sit on the stairs Jenna said to me..."Mama, me hair all mess up!" As she is moving her little long hairs out of her face. It really was too precious. Her hair really has started to grow since we got it trimmed. You can really see the hugest difference in her bangs. They are down to her eyebrows again. Oh and by the way my baby is less than a month away from her SECOND birthday, yikes!

Funny Story about My Jacob
This is a cute little story about my little Mr.Jacob. To actually see it is priceless but I did not really like the pics I took.I will try again next time this happens because I'm sure it'll happen again. Story time....So last Sunday while I was at work I called Joe on my lunch and he said I have to tell you something. Jacob got a little upset with me this afternoon. I then said well what happened? Jacob likes to play this little game with Joe where Daddy chases him with something (food, usually) that he doesn't like. Most of you know he's a pretty picky eater and we won't discuss where he gets that from right now. On Sunday Joe happened to try and offer Jacob a Peep, a Valentine's Day red heart one. Joe likes Peeps and we've since learned Jacob does not. Well when Joe tried to offer it to Jacob he said "No." Joe then tried to offer it to him again as he usually does in their game, and the chase began. The next thing Joe knew Jacob ran upstairs, he waited a minute but then he heard Jacob crying. Jacob at that point came down stairs with his little fireman hat on and his little wheeled buzz light year backpack. He was all ready to go. Joe said he was still crying. So Daddy sat him down to have a talk with him and find out what was wrong. Jacob said he didn't want to try the candy. Daddy then explained to him that he was just playing their game like they always do. Jacob thought about it for a minute and then said "okay Daddy."
I cannot believe that my four year old got upset and decided to get his backpack, to get ready to leave. He has since said he was going "no where." He has since played his little backpack routine on us two more times. This is when I tried to capture this moment on camera but didn't do so well. This whole little backpack thing has really broke Mommy's heart. When he did it the next day when I was home I told him that there was nothing out there anywhere that he couldn't find at home.He then said to me in his cute little voice"Mama me no go no where." Joe and I are not sure where the whole hat thing comes into play, but each time he does this he puts one of his hats on. I might add that he never wears them any other time. My baby boy is getting to be such a big boy, and so independent.
Small subject change for moment. Speaking of Jacob becoming a big boy. Joe and I both have noticed that his pants seem a little bit more sung lately. We told Jacob he really needs to start eating more healthy foods,so we're working on that. But his pants now we've noticed are getting a little bit shorter too. Today I decided to measure him and since his last Dr's visit just a month ago he's grown a whole inch. He is now a tall 41 inches, can't believe it. I am amazed, I am now going to have to look at buying him either 5t's or 4's from the Boys department for his pants. I am going to have to see which is a better fit for him. I have a quirky little story about Jenna for tomorrow along with some great little pics I got of her. Until tomorrow.......

Tide to Go...Hillarous
So I don't know if everyone seen the hillarous Tide to Go commercials but they are to funny. And for the record those little sticks really do work. Worth every penny in my opinion. Quick story....I was as usual running late to work on day last week and stopped at the Arby's drive thru to grab a bite to eat. I was literally two lights from work and taking my second to the last bite of my favorite sandwich there, the beef n' cheedar (on a regular bun, of course) and plop goes some cheese and sauce onto my light colored khaki pants. Oh crap I say! No time to go home I'm already almost late what the heck am I going to do, I can't look like a slob the whole night at work especially from the moment I walk in the door. It's one thing to have my pants dirty after I've been working a while but to go in with them dirty is just wrong. Then I remembered one day some one at work telling me how great the Tide to go stick works. I had like five or so stains on my pants now. Anyways I bought a stick as soon as I got to work headed to the back and go to making that little pen work. After a few minutes my stains we're all just about gone. I had one that you could bearly see I mean you would have to have been kneeled down standing right in front of me looking at my pants to notice it. Why am I telling you this story because Joe sent me the cutest email tonight and I just have to share it. Here's my Jacob's commercial debut.... I just love it he's too cute! Oh yeah you can enter to win one of a 1,000 prizes daily too. And one last thing I shared my wonderful little story here on their website and you can vote for me : -)
P.S Bloggers spell check is not working so I am sorry about any mistakes I have made.

My Big Boy Four Year Old
My baby/big boy had his 4 year check up today. We were much more prepared this year than we were at his 3 year appointment. It was like night and day between the two appointments. For a while I had been talking about how we would be going to the doctor's soon because Jacob was now a big boy four year old. He was pretty much okay with it that is until today when I realized he would have to have shots. The last shot he had was in the December and it was his Flu shot.He really didn't like it as it was his first shot in the arm.We didn't really prepare him for it we had went in for Jenna's 18month appt and the doctor asked if we wanted to have him get his Flu shot also. Today in the car I had him all ready for this doctor's visit. We talked about all the things the doctor and nurse would be doing.Checking his weight, height, his heart, his blood pressure (he really hated this last year:(),his ears, nose, etc. oh and we did talk about the possiblity of maybe getting shots. That conversation went something like this.
Jacob: Me get shots?
Mommy: Maybe Baby, there's a real good chance you're gonna have to get shots.
Jacob: uh, me no want shots.
Mommy: I know honey but we have to get shots so we don't get sick. They help prevent us from getting sick. They're good for us even though they hurt for a little bit.It will be okay Mommy will sit with you when you get them.
Jacob: Mama, me no love shots.
Mommy: I know honey, but it will be okay.
Jacob: uh, okay Mama.
It was the cutest, I really love when he says that he loves something, or doesn't love something. My baby is becoming such a big boy. So now for the stats.............
Weight: 38.2 lbs- 75%
Height: 40 inches-50%
The doc says if he keeps growing at this rate he will be about 5"10' definitely taller than his Mommy and Daddy. I can't even imagine my baby boy being taller than me. Time goes by at a blink of an eye,and our kids are growing up too fast.I can only treasure each and every moment that I have with my two babies and every moment that we have together as a family Mommy,Daddy,Jacob, and Jenna. There I go again going off on a tangant,Sorry.
We had a fairly uneventful weekend. We went out to dinner with the kids on Friday and then ran to a few stores Mommy needed to go to. Saturday, wow myself and Joe were talking earlier today and we both don't really remember what we did exactally. I think we went to Costco, and Martin's for a few things. Oh and I did run in a few stores to do a couple of returns. Work on Sunday and that's about it. See uneventful....
Today however along with the doc appointment we were pretty busy.We had our play date this am.The kids really had fun. Then it was into the car and off to the airport to pick up Nana.We then had lunch at Mc Donald's (well the kids did). Then across the parking lot to Jacob's dr appointment.Okay so I am going to go off on another tangant again, sorry.
You know how a couple of weeks ago or maybe it was couple of posts I go I was complaing about the price of milk, well it has since went down but now I'm irrtated about something else. I don't know if every one read my comments to that post but Kelly pointed out that she thinks that some things are more expensive out her because there's no competition. I think I'm more convinced than ever now. I needed gas today while we were in Ashburn and guess what? Our gas here in town is anywhere from $2.95 to $2.99 a gallon. And in Ashburn it's an average of $2.84 but I got gas for $2.79 today. I could not believe that there was such a huge price difference in gas from there to here.So there you are, What do you think about this whole gas thing?
