Our Fun Day!

Yesterday was a busy but fun day. In the morning we had friends over for a play date. The kids had a ball, mostly running around the house chasing each other. Then when it was time to leave the weather was really nice outside, so they decided to chase each other around outside a bit. After our play date we had lunch and then we ran to Target to get some candy for our trip to the movies. When Nana got home we headed out the door to meet Daddy at the movies. We went and saw Monsters vs. Aliens 3D. It was a very cute movie, Jacob enjoyed it very much. Jenna however did not wear her 3D glasses at anytime during the movie. She still enjoyed it though. The 3D effects were very cool. Jacob is ready to see it again. However we will be waiting for it to come to the $2.50 movies here in town. It will more than likely not be in 3D as those tickets were $4.00 more each ticket. But it will still be good nonetheless. After the movies we "had" to go to McDonald's for dinner for the kids as the started the toys for the Monsters vs. Aliens movie.

While watching the movie we discovered that there is a couple more movies that are coming out in 3D this summer. Disney has a new movie called UP. Also one of Jacob's favorite movies is being re released in the fall. Toy Story is going to be back at the movies in October in 3D and then Toy Story 2 is to be re released on February 12th,2010 and TOY STORY 3 to be released June 18th, 2010.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend........

Summer Fun with Friends

Something we always love to do in the Summer is go to the Drive-in. There's not really many around anymore so Joe and I were so excited when we moved to Winchester to find that there's one right down the road in the next city. When Joe and I were dating and still lived Cali we went to the drive-in a lot but then we had to drive 45 minutes to it. Getting back to today sorry! This evening we went to the drive-in and saw Kung Fu Panda, but we didn't just go as a family this time. This time we went with friends who also happen to be our neighbors. We have been talking about going together for the past two Summers and we finally did it. It was really fun, the movie was good and the company was good. The kids had a great time both before and during the movie. Jenna is about the same at the drive-in as she is at the movie theater. Doesn't really sit for too long, constantly up, down, over here, over there and doesn't really know where she wants to be. Still fun though, just have to keep a constant eye on her. A couple of times she ventured in to the front of the van and decided to hop into her seat and buckle herself in. She then of course freaked when she couldn't get out so Mommy had to come to the rescue. Even with my little wanderer, I am still looking forward to doing it again. And now for some pics from our outing this evening.

Last Weekend....

***I changed our slide show a bit as I noticed I was having problems with the previous one?***

I've made a little slide show from last weekend. On Thursday we enjoyed a little time outside in the nice weather. Then we played a new game that is now his favorite Flippin' Frog Game.We have played this game at least once a day (usually more like 20 times) since we got it on Thursday. On Friday Daddy only worked a half a day since it was the day before his Bday. We met in Leesburg and then went to Fox Cinemas in Ashburn to see Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who.

We loved this movie it was really cute. Jacob was perfect he sat in his chair the entire movie and never once got up. He sat eating his M&M's and popcorn.Jenna on the other hand did very little sitting she mostly stood, but she did stand and watch the movie.Joe and I really enjoyed the movie,it was a very cute story. Saturday we went to Haymarket to the big Egg Drog Easter Egg Hunt that some of our neighbor's also went to.The kids liked it and were glad that some of their friends were there. But like Kelly said we will be finding a different Egg Hunt for next year. There was a lot of kids there and some did not get any eggs,it was a little sad. After we left the Egg Hunt we went to The Fair Oaks Mall and had lunch at one of our favorite places The Cheesecake Factory. This is a pretty new location, we liked it. We have been to a couple of CCF's that we haven't liked, so they're all not the same. All in all we had a great weekend, and we are really looking forward to this coming weekend...Easter! Hope everyone else had a good weekend.Oh and here's the slide show.......

The Last Week and a Half....

*Edited*
I have to add a little something here at the top so now my post is completely out of order. I need to ask everyone to say a little prayer for my Grandpa. After talking to my mom yesterday I found out that he had to have yet another Angioplasty. He got through the surgery good and is doing well and hopefully will get to go home today. He has had this done before but for a different artery and swore he would never do one again because of how much pain he was in afterwards. So if everyone could just say a small prayer that he doesn't have a lot of pain and pulls through this with flying colours. Thank so much,
~Jamie

We love you Grandpa Rudy!
I can't believe that a week and a half has went by since my last post. Well there's really a lot that has been going on this past week and a half. I sat down and attempted to write this post on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. But I have been really sleepy and so I feel asleep on the couch in the middle typing my post and well I really haven't had a good moment to sit down to type an updated post to that unfinished post, so here I am several days later.

Okay so back to Friday the 11th, Jacob and Nana went to the movies in Martinsburg and they saw The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A Veggietales Movie. Jacob really enjoyed the movie and was so excited to tell Mommy and Daddy about the movie when he got home. After Nana and Jacob got settled in Mommy and Daddy headed out the door, for our reservations that I made for us at a fairly new restaurant in Broadlands. It's called Willow Creek Farm and it's a Clyde's Group Restaurant. The restaurant is in this huge barn I mean huge I have never seen a restaurant this big. I felt like we walked a half of a mile to our table. The food was great and it was pretty reasonably priced.

We had some sad news on Sunday the 13th Joe's Aunt Mary(his mother's sister) passed away. She had been sick for some time and had gotten worse as the week progressed and on Sunday evening passed away. Aunt Mary you will truly be missed.

On this past Thursday the 17th we drove up to Pittsburgh,PA to go to Aunt Mary's services. The weather was really bad on our way up. There was a lot of roads that weren't treated yet and it was still snowing for most of the drive. So we decided that we would not drive home that night as we had originally planned. It was good that we stayed the night we got to see lots of family that we hadn't seen in a long time. Some that Joe hadn't seen in a while and I got to meet a few people I hadn't met before. We took some pictures of most of us but I plan to post those if not tomorrow the next day. I decided going into this post it's going to be a picture free post. Sorry!

The rest of that weekend is kind of a blur now. Any who on Monday the 14th We had our first play date in like a month. The kids had a ball they were so excited to see all of their friends. Jacob and Johnny got this cool new Playhouse for Christmas from Santa. Jenna really loved it she spent most of the time we were there in that little house. I wish I had some pictures from the play date but I don't Daddy accidentally left the camera in his car.

Okay so I know I'm kind of jumping all over here and I'm sorry hopefully I haven't completely confused anyone. We got home in the early afternoon on Friday and just relaxed. Both the kids,Joe and myself came home with parts of a cold. Yuck! Saturday the 19th is kind of a blur also because I had a pretty bad headache all day and spent most of the day on the couch wishing my headache away.he!he!

And well you know all those days in between, most of them I spent at work, Oh and I must mention that price of milk has seemed to go down at least temporarily. I will also mention in this very erratic post that I have had some really bizarre and rude customers at work this past week. Just thought I'd share. I won't get into all the gory details about who did what to piss me off but what a week, I tell ya. I honestly thought we had a full moon everyday there for a while.

Hope everyone else's week was good and I will post some pics soon from our short trip.Hope everyone has a good week and try and stay out of the cold if at all possible. It's been really too cold out, Winter's finally here.
