Fun with Friends....

On Tuesday this week we went over to our friend's house and the kids had a great time playing on their big water slide. We finally had good enough weather for them to play out on the slide for a few hours. We had been trying to get them all together to play on the slide for a couple of weeks but everyday we had planned for it it ended up raining. Again our weird Summer weather. They all had such a good time, they really didn't want to stop but it was getting too hot and it was lunch time. Jenna even had a ball this time. When the kids first went on the slide on the fourth of July she only went down it twice. This time she went round and round we even had to tell her more than a few times to stop cutting in line in front of all the boys. On to the pictures.......Only a few, but a few is better than none at least I remembered my camera this time. : )
Jenna hitting the bottom... Jacob taking it a little sideways
Gotta love those legs, She flew down the slide so fast.
This weekend is going to be a busy weekend for us. I am sure I will have lots of pics to post after the weekends over and all settled down. Tomorrow we have a little running around to do in the early afternoon. Then tomorrow night we have our annual Light the Night kickoff party and it's at Nationals Stadium again. Go Nats! We will have our party and then onto the game, they are playing the Arizona Diamond Backs. On Saturday Jacob has his last Saturday game and then maybe Mommy and Daddy are going to get to go to the movies to see the new Harry Potter movie since we haven't got to see it yet and Nana's back home now. Nana has something fun planned for Jacob and Jenna on Sunday after church and Daddy will be going to see his friend Brandon race. I of course will be at work and it's going to be a early day for me...start time 6:30 a.m. oh and did I mention it's TAX FREE WEEKEND. Yeah it's going to be crazy busy at work this weekend. Needless to say we will all be busy and like I said I am sure I will have lots of pics to share. Have a great weekend all.........

Our Fun Day!

Yesterday was a busy but fun day. In the morning we had friends over for a play date. The kids had a ball, mostly running around the house chasing each other. Then when it was time to leave the weather was really nice outside, so they decided to chase each other around outside a bit. After our play date we had lunch and then we ran to Target to get some candy for our trip to the movies. When Nana got home we headed out the door to meet Daddy at the movies. We went and saw Monsters vs. Aliens 3D. It was a very cute movie, Jacob enjoyed it very much. Jenna however did not wear her 3D glasses at anytime during the movie. She still enjoyed it though. The 3D effects were very cool. Jacob is ready to see it again. However we will be waiting for it to come to the $2.50 movies here in town. It will more than likely not be in 3D as those tickets were $4.00 more each ticket. But it will still be good nonetheless. After the movies we "had" to go to McDonald's for dinner for the kids as the started the toys for the Monsters vs. Aliens movie.

While watching the movie we discovered that there is a couple more movies that are coming out in 3D this summer. Disney has a new movie called UP. Also one of Jacob's favorite movies is being re released in the fall. Toy Story is going to be back at the movies in October in 3D and then Toy Story 2 is to be re released on February 12th,2010 and TOY STORY 3 to be released June 18th, 2010.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend........

Waiting Patiently....

My kids, waiting ever so patiently this morning for their friends to come over for play date. You would have thought it had been forever since they saw their friends. It wasn't though it's only been since last Tuesday the 3rd. They really are just too funny. Jenna even put her shoes on (but she's been doing a lot of that lately) she was ready to go to Johnny's house to play. Jenna also had to put on her new Dora backpack for everyone to see. I kept telling them both it was our turn and everyone was coming to our house to play this time. When they saw the kids starting to walk across the street everything was much better.

Jacob when he feels like it, lately is becoming quite the little poser for pictures. Here's one of him
from this morning, while we were waiting for everyone to come over........
Such a big boy. Everyday I look at the two of them and just wonder where in the world does the time go? They are really growing up too fast. On Wednesday Jacob had his last day of therapy for the school year. We're off for Summer break just like all the other school kids. His teacher/therapist and I were talking about next year. She mentioned that we needed to really make sure early on if one day was going to be enough to have him ready for school. Yikes, I really didn't want to have to think about him starting school already. It is after all a whole other year away. I do however want him to be ready of course. I am hoping that along with his continued therapy and the fact that we are sending to preschool in the Fall, these will both ensure that he is ready for Kindergarten. For those of you who are not aware Jacob goes to speech therapy once a week for his speech delay. He has really progress significantly since he started right before his third birthday. He's really excited about starting preschool in the Fall. He keeps asking me if it's time to go his new school yet. The funniest thing is what he remembers about his new school. When him and I went on our tour of the school one of the 4 year old classes was having a pajama day. All the kids were in their pj's and had brought their blankets to school with them and that's what he keeps asking about. When is he going to get to have a pajama day and get to wear his pj's to school? He cracks me up.

Did I mention that we are currently under construction in Jacob's room? We are in the process of painting, etc. his room, we are making it a fish room. We all know how much he loves fish. As soon as it's all done I will post some pics. We got him this really cute light at Ikea for his new room and also a big boy bed, no more toddler bed.

Just sharing one more pic of Jenna with her cute little shirt I got her at The Gap Outlet. It was perfect for her to wear it today for our play date. In case you can't read it, it says " I Love Play Time." She is pointing to the "L" because it's lellow (yellow). Okay so I've rambled on for long enough, I think I 'm off to bed now. Hope everyone has a great weekend......

In a Nut Shell....

We had such a great weekend, the weather was great, just everything was great. Friday we went to the new park in Berryville, it was awesome. We had our play date there, so it was us and four of our neighbors. Nana also went with us, what a savior she was. I don't know how I would have done it without Nana. The play ground was huge, they also have the biggest slide I've ever seen. Kelly got some great pics of it. The kids all had a great time, and I had a little fun too. I had to go down the big slide a couple of times too, Jacob wouldn't have it any other way.

After we left the park we headed home and Daddy was home early. We then decided to head over to the other side of town to the new Sonic Burger for lunch. This was my first time ever having Sonic. It was pretty good but I have to say I don't think I'll ever find a better burger than In-N-Out. I guess I'm particle growing up on them and all.

Saturday we had our neighborhood yard sale. They had been calling for rain all week. That is until late Friday night the weather.com people finally changed it to sunny and a high of 71. Yeah, I was soooo excited no rain. It turned out to be a really great day, beautiful weather, a great yard sale. We did really well and we managed to get rid of a lot of stuff. We said goodbye to our high chair, pack n play, a swing, an umbrella stroller, One of Jacob's old car seats, Jenna's infant car seat, Jacob's Little Tikes tool bench, and a some other little odd and ends toys. Last but certainly not least, was most of what we sold and that was the kids clothes. As this was also a big seller at our last yard sale. As a matter of fact I had one customer at our last sale that asked me to call her if we had another sale. And so I did and she came back again and bought just as much as she did last time. She has a little boy and she bought a ton of Jacob's clothes.

The weather was so good on Saturday, Nana and the kids joined Daddy and I for a little bit. After dinner we spent some time outside, and visited with a couple of neighbors. Mommy worked Sunday so not much to report about that day. That's about it In a Nut Shell..................

The Wee Gym

Today we had our play date at The Wee Gym in Berryville. The kids had a great time. Everyone got along great, and no fights. There was a lot of kids there however not as many as I would have thought.Especially since The Winchester Star just did a front page article about The Wee Gym. It was a great place to take the kids to let them run around and have fun especially while it's still cold outside. It was a very reasonable price. In fact we have even decided that we will all probably go back some time next week. After playing we all went to McDonald's to have lunch. That was a project in itself trying to get all the kids to sit down and eat all at once. We had fun while at McD's too, although I don't know how everyone else in McD's felt about our crowd being there. But who really cares as long as we had fun right? Here's a few pictures from The Wee Gym....

The Last Week and a Half....

*Edited*
I have to add a little something here at the top so now my post is completely out of order. I need to ask everyone to say a little prayer for my Grandpa. After talking to my mom yesterday I found out that he had to have yet another Angioplasty. He got through the surgery good and is doing well and hopefully will get to go home today. He has had this done before but for a different artery and swore he would never do one again because of how much pain he was in afterwards. So if everyone could just say a small prayer that he doesn't have a lot of pain and pulls through this with flying colours. Thank so much,
~Jamie

We love you Grandpa Rudy!
I can't believe that a week and a half has went by since my last post. Well there's really a lot that has been going on this past week and a half. I sat down and attempted to write this post on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. But I have been really sleepy and so I feel asleep on the couch in the middle typing my post and well I really haven't had a good moment to sit down to type an updated post to that unfinished post, so here I am several days later.

Okay so back to Friday the 11th, Jacob and Nana went to the movies in Martinsburg and they saw The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A Veggietales Movie. Jacob really enjoyed the movie and was so excited to tell Mommy and Daddy about the movie when he got home. After Nana and Jacob got settled in Mommy and Daddy headed out the door, for our reservations that I made for us at a fairly new restaurant in Broadlands. It's called Willow Creek Farm and it's a Clyde's Group Restaurant. The restaurant is in this huge barn I mean huge I have never seen a restaurant this big. I felt like we walked a half of a mile to our table. The food was great and it was pretty reasonably priced.

We had some sad news on Sunday the 13th Joe's Aunt Mary(his mother's sister) passed away. She had been sick for some time and had gotten worse as the week progressed and on Sunday evening passed away. Aunt Mary you will truly be missed.

On this past Thursday the 17th we drove up to Pittsburgh,PA to go to Aunt Mary's services. The weather was really bad on our way up. There was a lot of roads that weren't treated yet and it was still snowing for most of the drive. So we decided that we would not drive home that night as we had originally planned. It was good that we stayed the night we got to see lots of family that we hadn't seen in a long time. Some that Joe hadn't seen in a while and I got to meet a few people I hadn't met before. We took some pictures of most of us but I plan to post those if not tomorrow the next day. I decided going into this post it's going to be a picture free post. Sorry!

The rest of that weekend is kind of a blur now. Any who on Monday the 14th We had our first play date in like a month. The kids had a ball they were so excited to see all of their friends. Jacob and Johnny got this cool new Playhouse for Christmas from Santa. Jenna really loved it she spent most of the time we were there in that little house. I wish I had some pictures from the play date but I don't Daddy accidentally left the camera in his car.

Okay so I know I'm kind of jumping all over here and I'm sorry hopefully I haven't completely confused anyone. We got home in the early afternoon on Friday and just relaxed. Both the kids,Joe and myself came home with parts of a cold. Yuck! Saturday the 19th is kind of a blur also because I had a pretty bad headache all day and spent most of the day on the couch wishing my headache away.he!he!

And well you know all those days in between, most of them I spent at work, Oh and I must mention that price of milk has seemed to go down at least temporarily. I will also mention in this very erratic post that I have had some really bizarre and rude customers at work this past week. Just thought I'd share. I won't get into all the gory details about who did what to piss me off but what a week, I tell ya. I honestly thought we had a full moon everyday there for a while.

Hope everyone else's week was good and I will post some pics soon from our short trip.Hope everyone has a good week and try and stay out of the cold if at all possible. It's been really too cold out, Winter's finally here.
