Slighty Irritated
Yes me, slightly irritated can you guess why? Well let me tell you, earlier today when I looked at our weather thing on our desktop it said few pm snow showers. I am okay with that, like I said before just snow if you're gonna snow. At about 9:00pm or so when I had just come back from my break one of the other CSM's says to me it's snowing outside. It's coming down pretty good out there. I then go check it out for myself and sure enough it's coming down pretty good.So good in fact that the whole parking lot and sidewalk are covered in white. Again I am still okay with this. Until it's time for me to go home, it's freezing out as I am walking to my car. I am now driving home and it's still snowing, still okay. Now I am about half way home and just about to our exit on the freeway and all of a sudden NO SNOW. I get off the free way and still NO SNOW. Down the road some more and just about to our neighborhood and still yep, NO SNOW. I tell ya, you would have thought I drove to another state or something with the difference in weather. At our house not a drop or a flake of snow. I only knew it was snowing in Winchester because well I had snow on my car from while I was at work. This is just absolutely crazy how can it be snowing so much on one side of town and not the other. I just don't get it.Sorry about all that ranting.Just really had to get it out and well you were here: ) Oh and I also added a weather.com thing at the bottom of the page. If you want to check the weather in your neck of the woods all you have to do is click on settings and then type in your zip code, and wallah.

Funny Story about My Jacob
This is a cute little story about my little Mr.Jacob. To actually see it is priceless but I did not really like the pics I took.I will try again next time this happens because I'm sure it'll happen again. Story time....So last Sunday while I was at work I called Joe on my lunch and he said I have to tell you something. Jacob got a little upset with me this afternoon. I then said well what happened? Jacob likes to play this little game with Joe where Daddy chases him with something (food, usually) that he doesn't like. Most of you know he's a pretty picky eater and we won't discuss where he gets that from right now. On Sunday Joe happened to try and offer Jacob a Peep, a Valentine's Day red heart one. Joe likes Peeps and we've since learned Jacob does not. Well when Joe tried to offer it to Jacob he said "No." Joe then tried to offer it to him again as he usually does in their game, and the chase began. The next thing Joe knew Jacob ran upstairs, he waited a minute but then he heard Jacob crying. Jacob at that point came down stairs with his little fireman hat on and his little wheeled buzz light year backpack. He was all ready to go. Joe said he was still crying. So Daddy sat him down to have a talk with him and find out what was wrong. Jacob said he didn't want to try the candy. Daddy then explained to him that he was just playing their game like they always do. Jacob thought about it for a minute and then said "okay Daddy."
I cannot believe that my four year old got upset and decided to get his backpack, to get ready to leave. He has since said he was going "no where." He has since played his little backpack routine on us two more times. This is when I tried to capture this moment on camera but didn't do so well. This whole little backpack thing has really broke Mommy's heart. When he did it the next day when I was home I told him that there was nothing out there anywhere that he couldn't find at home.He then said to me in his cute little voice"Mama me no go no where." Joe and I are not sure where the whole hat thing comes into play, but each time he does this he puts one of his hats on. I might add that he never wears them any other time. My baby boy is getting to be such a big boy, and so independent.
Small subject change for moment. Speaking of Jacob becoming a big boy. Joe and I both have noticed that his pants seem a little bit more sung lately. We told Jacob he really needs to start eating more healthy foods,so we're working on that. But his pants now we've noticed are getting a little bit shorter too. Today I decided to measure him and since his last Dr's visit just a month ago he's grown a whole inch. He is now a tall 41 inches, can't believe it. I am amazed, I am now going to have to look at buying him either 5t's or 4's from the Boys department for his pants. I am going to have to see which is a better fit for him. I have a quirky little story about Jenna for tomorrow along with some great little pics I got of her. Until tomorrow.......

Late Breaking News......
Some exciting news for Joe and I. But for most of our readers this is not new, news. I still think however that it is Blog worthy news. Most of you also know that it has only been on a very rare occasion that we have been away from the kids overnight. On our 5 year wedding anniversary we went on a cruise, this was our first time away from Jacob and he was only 9 months old. This was VERY hard for me emotionally and physically. But that stories for another day and another post. And of course when Jenna was born we stayed at the hospital with her and we we're then away from Jacob for only the second time.Okay getting back to the story at hand. I first must say we have WONDERFUL friends!! With that being said friends of ours, another couple of course has a timeshare and well this year they are getting a two bedroom. So they so kindly invited us to come along with them on their vacation. We so graciously accepted and have since bought our plane tickets. Coaxed Nana into watching the kids for us for 6 and 1/2 days. And we've now started to plan our activities for our little trip with our friends. And so here it is ........
Countdown Calendars
Yep, you read that right we are going to Kauai,Hawaii and we are so excited.Yes of course we are sad and nervous at the same time about leaving the kids. But this is a vacation that we need and quite honestly I think that we both thought we'd never get to go back to Hawaii. This is also a vacation that we so deserve. And also how many opportunities does one get to go to Hawaii and not have to pay for your room? I don't think this is something that very common, but hey I could be wrong.
For those of you who don't know this we went on our honeymoon to Hawaii, we went to the big island and stayed in Kona. That was a wonderful trip we had a great time but getting there was a little bit of a different story. This was when Joe still worked for United and we had to fly standby. Yeah fun, right? No, we spent most of our first day of our honeymoon in the San Francisco airport trying to get on a flight. But it all turned out good for us our hotel was very accommodating since we got there a day later. This time we have confirmed seats, yeah! We had a fabulous time and are looking forward to another fabulous time. We've already got a boat trip planned for one day and a Kayaking trip planned (a first for me!) for another day and of course a Luau one night and a driving trip another day. The trip seems like it's so far away yet we've already got almost the whole week planned. Which is really weird for us cause we're not usually planners, we just do things. But there's so much we want to do this time we thought it was best to plan as much as we could. Will keep you posted as we get closer to our trip. Yeah!

The Wee Gym
Today we had our play date at The Wee Gym in Berryville. The kids had a great time. Everyone got along great, and no fights. There was a lot of kids there however not as many as I would have thought.Especially since The Winchester Star just did a front page article about The Wee Gym. It was a great place to take the kids to let them run around and have fun especially while it's still cold outside. It was a very reasonable price. In fact we have even decided that we will all probably go back some time next week. After playing we all went to McDonald's to have lunch. That was a project in itself trying to get all the kids to sit down and eat all at once. We had fun while at McD's too, although I don't know how everyone else in McD's felt about our crowd being there. But who really cares as long as we had fun right? Here's a few pictures from The Wee Gym....
Jacob in the tunnelKavon and Jacob playing on the mats
Jenna and Johnny in the tunnel
Jacob playing in the Fire truck
Jacob playing ball
Jacob A. and Jenna giving hugs : )
Now it's Jenna and Logan's turn

More snow...oh and some recent pics.....
Yes it's snowing again. It started around 8ish I think, I was at work and it was extremely busy. You would think they were calling for a blizzard or something. People came in, in droves and it's not like they were buying just the necessities. They were buying groceries like they were going to be snowed in for days or something. It was a little funny. So for those people's sake I hope that this snow does amount to something. I wouldn't really mind either since I am off for the next two days. So it could really do what ever it wants as long I don't have to go out in it, and hopefully since the weekends about here no one else will have to go out in it. If you do please be safe. The snow was coming down pretty good when I was driving home tonight, especially on 81. Onto a new subject now..

Can I say I told you so?
Did I not say that it would snow since I returned the kids snow suits. Joe said that this is my fault I did it to myself. I just had to go and talk about it so now it's happened. I know that the snow didn't really amount to much but it did snow. What about this crap of weather they're calling for this weekend? A wintry mix both Friday and Saturday, lovely my two days off. I think perhaps it's only going to get worse. What do you think? Where's spring? I am really ready for 70 degree weather. How about you all?
I went to work a little early today because I had a CSM meeting. Work was very slow tonight not a whole lot of people out shopping in this yucky weather. I also left a little early tonight and the roads weren't too terribly bad. The Wal-Mart parking lot however was horrible, very very icy. I had to walk very slow and take baby steps to insure I did not fall. Then when I got to my car I had to yank on the door I don't know how many times because it was stuck shut by a nice layer of ice, fun! I hope every one else is doing what they can to not have to be out in this ugly weather.
Sorry I am kind of all over the place tonight, just some random rantings from Jamie........
Stay safe!

A new banner...
I think it's time for a new banner. I don't think that the snow man banner was really fitting since it hasn't really snowed to amount to anything this winter. So maybe if I changed my banner something will happen.
Oh did I also mention that today I returned the snowsuits I had bought for the kids for this winter. My 90 days was almost up at Target and you know how they are there. I figured if they haven't had to wear them yet what are the chances they will have to wear them at all this year? I also returned the snow boots I bought both of them, also never worn. It's a good thing too because Jacob's feet have grown since I bought them in November... he's now a size 11. He grew a whole size, yikes! I think that Jenna's feet have grown a little also... she's currently in a size 5 and one pair of her size 5 shoes don't quite fit her anymore. But the other couple of pairs she has do, so I'm not too sure about her foot just yet. You see, this is how things normally work in life for me... I get rid of something and then I end up needing it once it's gone. I am totally convinced that it will snow soon since the kids don't have snow bibs or snow boots any longer, only time will tell.
Hope everyone had a good weekend, as we did. Kind of just hung out at the house and went out for a few things we needed. We played a new game with the kids. Jacob got the Candy Land DVD for Christmas from Nana but we hadn't played it until Friday night. He absolutely loves it. There's three different games you can play on it and Grandma Nut is his favorite. It's so cute too when he says he wants to play "grandma nut." We've played with it every day since we've opened it, and Jenna even plays along a little bit.
P.S Spell check is still not working? Sorry!

Tide to Go...Hillarous
So I don't know if everyone seen the hillarous Tide to Go commercials but they are to funny. And for the record those little sticks really do work. Worth every penny in my opinion. Quick story....I was as usual running late to work on day last week and stopped at the Arby's drive thru to grab a bite to eat. I was literally two lights from work and taking my second to the last bite of my favorite sandwich there, the beef n' cheedar (on a regular bun, of course) and plop goes some cheese and sauce onto my light colored khaki pants. Oh crap I say! No time to go home I'm already almost late what the heck am I going to do, I can't look like a slob the whole night at work especially from the moment I walk in the door. It's one thing to have my pants dirty after I've been working a while but to go in with them dirty is just wrong. Then I remembered one day some one at work telling me how great the Tide to go stick works. I had like five or so stains on my pants now. Anyways I bought a stick as soon as I got to work headed to the back and go to making that little pen work. After a few minutes my stains we're all just about gone. I had one that you could bearly see I mean you would have to have been kneeled down standing right in front of me looking at my pants to notice it. Why am I telling you this story because Joe sent me the cutest email tonight and I just have to share it. Here's my Jacob's commercial debut.... I just love it he's too cute! Oh yeah you can enter to win one of a 1,000 prizes daily too. And one last thing I shared my wonderful little story here on their website and you can vote for me : -)
P.S Bloggers spell check is not working so I am sorry about any mistakes I have made.

Crazy Weather...
How about this crazy weather we're having? Right at this moment it is 27 degrees and there is freezing rain. It was also doing this on my way home tonight. The roads however were not as bad as I thought they would be. I really wish that it would just pick something to do and just do it. Rain, Snow, Sleet, Ice but just one at a time. I don't know about where everyone else is but here it pretty much snowed on and off for most of the day. Never really amounting to anything, then when I left for work this evening it decided to start raining a little bit. And as for the rest of the week tomorrow it's supposed to be rainy, then sunny on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Friday the high is supposed to be in the 50's and then back to a high in the 30's on Sat. Then get this on Sunday a high in the 40's but a chance of a Wintery mix? I really don't like this on again off again weather. I am so ready for Spring to be here. Come on sunny days and weather in the 70's. Hope everyone is staying safe during this crazy weather.

Mommy's New Toy!
My new every two was up for renewal in January.Yeah for me I had originally bought the Verizon Venus phone about 4 weeks ago or so. Well needless to say there was a few things I did not like about the phone. I had 30 days to try it out and at about 2 1/2 weeks I decided I did not like it. Joe and I went back to the Verizon store to look at some more new phones that just came out. And well Joe found me this little beauty. The Samsung Flip Shot phone.........
