Give Me Some Peanuts and.......

We had a really good time yesterday. It was a long day, but fun day. The kids and I left the house just after 2pm. We stopped at my friend Nancy's house so that we could follow each other to the Metro station. It was a good thing that we all went together because I don't know that I would have been able to do this all on my own, especially without a stroller. Yes, I went without a stroller cause I didn't think a stroller would have really worked once we got to the stadium. After riding one train and transferring to the green line we finally made it to Nationals Stadium. That's where Daddy met us, he stayed at work for a little longer than usual and then came to the stadium.
The stadium is absolutely beautiful. I have to say it is by far the best baseball stadium I have ever been to. Not that I have been to a lot but I have been to a few. There was really cool playground for the kids to play at, we didn't go there this time. There was also a ton of different places to eat, Five Guys had the longest line by far. The prices were, well ball park prices. As soon as we got there we went up to the second level where the Kickoff party was. We ate dinner, while watching a cool little slide show, then there was a presentation with some fundraising ideas and then a raffle and then we were off to the game. The Nationals didn't so good at least while we were there. We left at the 7th inning and it was 7 to 2 and already 9:30p.m. By the time we got back on the crazy busy metro and in the car and home it was just after Midnight. Like I said a long day, needless to say Daddy took the day off today. Oh and Nana came home today. The kids are excited to have her back home with us. Tomorrow is going to be another busy day.

I am so glad you guys had a nice time!!! It sounds like it was an exciting and LONG day!! :)

I have never been to a baseball game. I'm not sure I could sit there that long though. I tend to be a little restless !! :)

I love all of the pics!! Thanks for sharing!!
