Don't Go....
Mommy/Mama. That's what I have been hearing for the past few weeks. Every night when I am getting ready to go to work or just the mention of me going to work. Just about every evening when I head upstairs to change for work Jenna follows me. As I get in my work clothes she says "Mommy no go work." Tonight however it was just a little different and quite cute actually. She said "Mama no go work, go tomorrow." It was to cute. I guess maybe the kids are going through a little phase where they just don't want me to leave. It really makes me sad but at the same time it makes me happy. Only because it lets me know that they do actually notice that I am gone in the evenings. They are always having so much fun with Daddy when I am about to walk out the door, I sometimes wonder if they even notice I am gone besides the whole goodbye hug and kiss. Jacob on the other hand is a little more dramatic shall I say. I am pretty sure he's the one that started this phase, if it is a phase and Jenna has decided to follow. Some nights I find him holding onto my legs begging "Don't go!" And in the morning when we wake up he tells me "Momma go to work and me miss her." Today though he read me the cutest letter. We have these little plastic letters from on of our Fisher Price toys. Quite often I am given mail for me to read. When Jacob usually reads me my letter's they say:
To Momma,
I love Momma
Love,
Jacob
However today it was just a little more detailed.
To Momma,
When Momma go to work I miss her. I don't like it when Momma go to work. Me sad when Momma go to work. I love Momma.
Love,
Jacob
He's such my little cutie. He amazes me everyday. Especially with his talking. He loves to tell you stories now. Last year we were lucky if he put three words together. When he's in one of his story telling moods Joe and I just look at each other in amazement at the amount of words that come out of his mouth. Thank goodness for Mrs. Clay, that's his speech therapist, we love her. Jacob really loves her too and my gosh she loves him too. Also a lot of practicing and his homework. He just loves his homework. Hopefully he will continue to love his homework throughout school. Okay, I know off on a tangent again.
It's the things like them telling them that they miss me and don't want me to leave that make me feel like a special Mommy. How do your kids make you feel special?

Frustration!
I have been trying not to complain as much but this whole situation is making it very difficult for me. A few of you probably already know what I am about to write about. Here we go, I had a Pampered Chef party at my house on FRIDAY MAY 23rd. I asked my consultant to keep my party "open" for a few more days so that I could get a few more orders from people at work. As soon as I had all my orders together from my friends at work, I drove down to Sterling to deliver them to her. First problem, she never returned my phone call from the previous day or the day that I drove down there. One of my very best friends happens to be her next door neighbor so I instead gave my orders to her to deliver for me. My friend delivered them that evening and my consultant confirmed this with me as I finally spoke to her the following day which was Saturday the 31st. She stated that she was going to close my show and that I would receive my order by the end of the week. Pampered Chef has been really quick about turn around time is what she told me. On Tuesday the 3rd I spoke with her again because I needed to get the total on one of the orders. She then told me that she was closing my party that afternoon as she had two more orders to add to my party. Still she said I should receive my order if not by weeks end no later than that next Monday. So here we are now it's Tuesday June 10th and still no boxes. At this point I now have guests asking me why their checks have not been cashed? WHAT? I called her that early afternoon only to have her tell me she would call PC and find out where my order was and call me right back. Three hours later I leave for work and two and half hours after that she calls the house. She told Joe that my order would be shipping the following day and I should receive it by the end of the week. Yes, another end of the week. Friday comes and still no order. I call her yet again and she asks me how am I doing? I tell her not good as I still do not have my order. I also add that I have not gotten a tracking number for my order and the last time I had a party I was notified by email that my order was shipped. She tells me I am going to call PC and find out what is going on and she will call me right back. One hour later we decide to leave the house so I call her only to let her know and to give her my cell phone number. Had to leave her a voice mail. The night goes on and still no phone call, Saturday passes and a busy day for us so I don't call her. Sunday comes still no phone call. I get that it was Father's Day and all but still at least a phone call to say hey I am still trying to find out what going on with your order but, nothing. Now here we are at Monday June 16th. Thirteen days after my party was "closed" and still no packages. I decided to write an email to the customer service people at PC earlier today. A few hours later I get a email (an automatic one, I think) that has my tracking number from Fed Ex and says that my order was shipped TODAY! For those you wondering in my email to PC I in no way put down my consultant. I just said that I thought it was very unusual that it was taking so long for my order to ship and could they please give me some information as to when I would be receiving my order. So there you go, it shipped today and I should according to Fed Ex receive it by Wednesday. Can you see my frustration? I know such a long story and I am sorry but I felt like I had to tell the whole story for everyone to understand where I was coming from. Oh and also when and if I get the order on Wednesday I have to quickly separate everything because on Thursday (after work) we leave for a couple of days for a little road trip.
No onto the fun part of our weekend.......
On Friday Nana and I and the kids did a little gallivanting. Had to get Jacob another pair of swim trunks as two of the pairs I bought him were a little big. When we got home we did some drawing with chalk on the driveway. Jacob has a huge bucket of chalk and is constantly wanting to draw things that swim and go in the water. It really is quite funny cause most of the time we end up covering the whole darn driveway. Fun times......
On Saturday we kind of just hung out in the a.m. On Saturday afternoon myself and two of my neighbor friends took one of our other neighbor friends to the movies. She's expecting her third child and it's her third boy so we thought she could use some girl time before the baby comes. We went to see Don't Mess with the Zohan, staring Adam Sandler. He is such a funny guy. It was a really funny movie, I think all of us enjoyed the movie and the girl time. We've decided that we definitely need to make sure we make more time for us and we cannot wait again until one of has another baby. Because who knows when that will be. Ha! Ha!

Yay For Me!
Okay, so I know every one is probably waiting for birthday pics. I promise as soon as I get them together I will post them. In the meantime I just have to share with every one my exciting news. Over here at Jessica's Blog she had a post last week about these cool personalized Fruit Roll Ups and with the post she had a contest for all her readers. Tonight I was doing my usual blog rounds and there it was my name as her WINNER. I have never been very lucky when it comes to winning things. This is definitely my first time winning anything on the Internet. I am super excited and cannot wait to design some cute little Fruit Roll Ups for the kiddos.
Hope every one's having a great week......

Happy Birthday Mommy!
Well another year has passed and I am now officially IN my THIRTIES. I can't just say I am 30, because well I'm not anymore. This age is much easier than I thought it was going to be. It's my children growing up so fast that's not so easy. Jenna will be TWO in just four short days. I really can't believe that she's two. It seems like not that long ago I was pregnant with her. Time really does fly while your little ones are growing up.
On a lighter note, have I mentioned lately how terrific my husband is? I mean aside from the vacation to Hawaii. My wonderful gift for my birthday. Not only did I get a really comfy pair of flip flops, my favorite lip gloss that I was out of, and a very cute tank top. I got a mini-wellness day at a local salon. I am super excited about this. I cannot wait until I get to use this certificate. This by the way was a total surprise. We also went out to dinner at one of my favorite places, Outback Steakhouse.
Earlier in the day we went to one of the neighbor's house for a birthday party, Johnny, who shares the same birthday as me. It's really kind of weird because I went most of my life not knowing anyone that shared the same birthday as me. Now I know of like eight people with the same birthday as me. First there's Johnny who turned five. The triplets down the street, another neighbor has a brother in law with my bday. One of the ladies I work with has two kids (not twins) born on June 1st. Oh and one of my previous store managers also born on June 1st, ten years early than me. From no one to eight people.
Did I also mention I didn't work today, a Sunday. Yippee, only cause it was my bday and I asked for it off. It sure was nice having a three day weekend. Hope every one else had a nice weekend.
***Was trying to share some pics from the weekend but having a problem uploading, will try again tomorrow.***

Test and What nots
Where should I start? I guess I'll try and make a long story short in regards to my test I had last week. As we all know I am not very good at making stories short, so I promise I'll try. For the most part things went well, as well as they can for this kind of test. I have to say though it was really not fun at all. Unless of course you are the kind of person that likes to have absolutely no control of how your body's feeling. It was horrible, I didn't pass out but I came very close to it. I could feel everything around me turning black (and my eyes were closed), my whole body was numb all of a sudden, my ears were suddenly plugged and making these weird noises, it was hard to breath and I felt like I was going to fall. Really if you're not getting the picture it definitely was not pleasant at all. The tilting part of the test could have lasted up to an hour depending on how long I "lasted," I only lasted about 15 minutes or so. I don't have any results yet, but on Wednesday I go to see my regular Dr. and she should have my results. Hopefully then I will know something.

Oh and let's not forget, look at the counter we're down to 13 days now. Woo Hoo!

Out with the Old and In with the NEW....

Car that is,this is the goodbye pic of me and my Pilot. I must admit all of this happened very quickly.Much more quickly than I expected and maybe for Joe too. The lease on my Pilot was due to end in October so we were thinking about our options. Joe and I discussed the idea of the new Pilot that was coming out at the end of the year. Now that Jacob's in the third row things are a little more difficult when it comes to getting him in the car. He can't quite buckle himself in yet so I have to climb into the back to buckle him in. This is not the most comfortable thing to do.Joe tossed out the idea of the new Odyssey,I told him I wasn't sure about a mini van but it is a Honda after all.I told him that I would like to test drive one and then we would see. On Friday I test drove one at the Leesburg Honda and well I LOVED it. Before that Joe had brought home a brochure for me to look at and I really liked all the cool options the Odyssey Touring model has. I was much more interested in the car after reading about these options. I know that I've already turned this into a long story so I'll try not to drag it on. Joe had emailed several dealerships about what model and color we were interested in and we got back many responses. The dealership we ended up going to was in Rockville Maryland and they offered us the best deal. This is where we ended up trading in my car and leasing our new Odyssey and here she is..............................

It's Official....
Those of you have been around me in the last week and a half know that I have had a horrible cough. It has been uncontrollable at night, taking me an extra hour or so to fall asleep.Anyways I went to the Dr's yesterday and I officially have a sinus infection,Yeah! Can you feel my excitement I really hate sinus infections I get them very often. I am on an antibiotic and she gave me a pill for my cough.I have to say though it amazes me the list of possible side effects. One of the possible side effects for one my pills is burning of the eyes, yep. Another is possible swelling, itching or rash of the skin. Can you imagine do I really need itchy skin again? Does everyone remember this? With any luck I will not suffer any of these possible side effects. The good news is all this coughing that I've been trying to control while around others is not contagious.Keep your fingers crossed for me that these antibiotics start working sooner rather than later. Thanks! Hope everyone has a great weekend. We have a few fun things planned.

A Little of This and A Little of That...
Where to start....Why ME of course just kidding. I am going to start with me. I haven't got my hair cut since, well Halloween. I had this women who cut my hair for about two years or so and then one day came into my work to let me know she was moving.....TO MICHIGAN. What is a girl to do? Well I decided to try someone else at the salon. To put it simply I was not impressed with her as she did not listen to me when I said "I want my hair trimmed and cut straight across the back." I really did not think that this was a difficult request but apparently it was. Because I ended up with a scoop in the back? So needless to say I did not go back to her or that salon since. Then a week or so ago I read a post on Watt's Up's Blog about a not so good experience with her new stylist. She decided she needed to get another new stylist. This inspired me to not be so afraid of trying to find some one new, also.Thank you,Amy! Last Friday I decided it was time,I mean it's been four months. Before this whole episode happened I was a person who got her hair trimmed every six to eight weeks. I was in Sterling for another appointment and decided to try a different place in the mall there. A wonderful Chinese man cut my hair, and I am happy to say I am very pleased. So much in fact I think I will even return in about eight weeks, right before our trip : ) He actually listened to me like my old lady use to. He then showed me in the mirror and said now if you want it straight across the back you're going to lose this much hair are you okay with that? I said if that's what it's going to take to fix my hair then yes,and that's exactly what he did.Yeah for me! I plan to have Joe take a picture at some point so you all can see my results. Okay I think I've talked about me enough.
Jacob did great as he has been doing great with hair cuts now for quite some time. For those of you who don't know this but we went through a huge stage of absolute refusal of getting his hair cut. Yes, he was one of those kids.Joe and I hated it but he had to have his hair cut. But we're done with that now and we love him back to Jacob getting his hair cut. His hair looks so handsome now.Everyday he really amazes me how much bigger and older he is looking and acting. Jenna is really starting to sprout up too. This past week everyday I look at her and she just looks like such a big two year old. And just think she's only three months away from being TWO!

Tide to Go...Hillarous
So I don't know if everyone seen the hillarous Tide to Go commercials but they are to funny. And for the record those little sticks really do work. Worth every penny in my opinion. Quick story....I was as usual running late to work on day last week and stopped at the Arby's drive thru to grab a bite to eat. I was literally two lights from work and taking my second to the last bite of my favorite sandwich there, the beef n' cheedar (on a regular bun, of course) and plop goes some cheese and sauce onto my light colored khaki pants. Oh crap I say! No time to go home I'm already almost late what the heck am I going to do, I can't look like a slob the whole night at work especially from the moment I walk in the door. It's one thing to have my pants dirty after I've been working a while but to go in with them dirty is just wrong. Then I remembered one day some one at work telling me how great the Tide to go stick works. I had like five or so stains on my pants now. Anyways I bought a stick as soon as I got to work headed to the back and go to making that little pen work. After a few minutes my stains we're all just about gone. I had one that you could bearly see I mean you would have to have been kneeled down standing right in front of me looking at my pants to notice it. Why am I telling you this story because Joe sent me the cutest email tonight and I just have to share it. Here's my Jacob's commercial debut.... I just love it he's too cute! Oh yeah you can enter to win one of a 1,000 prizes daily too. And one last thing I shared my wonderful little story here on their website and you can vote for me : -)
P.S Bloggers spell check is not working so I am sorry about any mistakes I have made.

Mommy's New Toy!
My new every two was up for renewal in January.Yeah for me I had originally bought the Verizon Venus phone about 4 weeks ago or so. Well needless to say there was a few things I did not like about the phone. I had 30 days to try it out and at about 2 1/2 weeks I decided I did not like it. Joe and I went back to the Verizon store to look at some more new phones that just came out. And well Joe found me this little beauty. The Samsung Flip Shot phone.........

Allergic Reaction........
*Updated (on Bottom)*
Allergic reaction yes, that's right an allergic reaction for Mommy. Someone who has never in my life as long as I can remember had an allergic reaction to anything. Last night my arms started itching a little while Joe and I were at the movies. I itched them and that was that they didn't bother me anymore. This morning I woke up to my arms itching like crazy, then my legs and then my stomach and so on. My whole body itches...I called my Dr. and they had no openings so they suggested I go to Urgent Care. So off I went. The Dr. there told me there was really no way to know what my reaction was to but gave me a steroid shot and a prescription for more steroids. By process of elimination Joe and I decided it had to be the new perfume I tried at the mall yesterday. Since I sprayed it on my arms first and that's where the rash started. So I've had my shot and taken one pill and I'm still itching like crazy but trying to ignore it. I am going to try and go to work and just ignore it some more we'll see if I can make it through the night.
I know that everyone was probably expecting my next post to be about Jacob's Birthday Party and I promise that post is coming soon. I also have to post about the fantastic date and movie premiere Joe and I went to last night. Hope everyone is doing better than I am until later....
Okay so I made it through the night at work but, barely. I could not do my usual job of CSM you know standing around waiting for someone to need me or sometimes running around from one end of the store to the next. This was just not good for me the more I stood the more I itched. So after I decided this I made yet another trip over to the pharmacy to talk to the pharmacist yet again. First he asked me how I was doing I said not so good still itching REALLY BAD! He said have you taken a pill yet? Why yes I have and still no relief. I then said is there anything else I can take or put on this crap to help it? And he unfortunately Jamie since the steroid shot and pills have not given you any relief it's very unlikely that any OTC cream will do anything for you but you're more than welcome to try. So I opted not to waste my money on something that was probably not going to work. I decided that the best thing for me to do was to stay so busy that I wouldn't notice that my skin was itching like crazy, so I got on a register and cashiered for the entire night except for my break time. Let me tell you it was great while I was on that register but that little bit of time that I was off the register was complete torture. But enough about that I have a Dr. appointment with a dermatologist on Thursday am I was thinking of cancelling it earlier today but after tonight no way. I have now at this point and time taken TWO pills plus the shot and two showers, one with some anti itch oil crap and still NO Relief. So if ANYONE out there has any suggestions I'll take them. Thanks so much!
